Another Kitty

I picked this pretty girl up last Monday night, she had been staying in a dumpster behined a local business. She is extremely friendly. I saw her on a Thursday night, made a spay appointment for her on Friday and picked her up Monday night for her Tuesday morning spay. Her surgery went well.

She is VERY friendly and has been out with everyone else at the house since she came back. She really likes to hang out in the reliner with Shon and she sleeps in the bed with him as well.

She weighed 6.2 pounds and its thought shes about 7-8 months old.

I sent some pictures out this morning and am hoping someone will want her so that I dont have to take her back to the dumpster.

The kittens are growing - 1 kitten and the mama has been spoken for. Need homes for 3 more kittens.

We had a wonderful weekend here in Virginia .. Tiny, Lucky, Moose and Brooke all went out and played both days for hours and hours until they were tuckered out and ready for bed. Of course Mama, Melon and Scotch were out too.

This morning I noticed that the babies eyes have started to open. So far I think I have several babies spoken for and the mama cat. :) I am not planning to keep any and I have a few others that need homes too ...

Last night ... This morning

After the hiss last night I decided to leave the door off the dog crate to see if maybe mama moo needed to be away from the babies for a bit and too see what she would do. I have her in a room that has a desk in front of the window so she gets some sunlight and with full run of the room she can look out and get a break from the babies. The room is the warmest in my house and fairly small. I moved her litter box and food bowls out of the crate but close enough for her to see them from inside the crate. I thought she would move the babies from the crate in the night but this morning they were still in there and she was with them - right in the middle of it. I put her wet food out and fresened her water and dry food and cleaned her box. She did let me pet her and the babies with no thoughts of moving.
Seems things are going well.

Hiss

I cleaned out Mama Moos cage, cleaned her dishes and box and brought in a clean towel... slid her and the babies forward put the clean towel all the way in and moved each baby ... I think I have 1 male and 3 females ... I was petting Mama and trying to get the dirty towel out and she hissed at me ... no growling, no moving just a single hiss ... i petted her and talked to her and got her some more wet food and she moved ... I dunno ... I kinda took the hiss as a good thing ...
