Trip Days 8 & 9

**To my hiking buddies that have been reading please friend me and/or Shon on FB - Im having a hard time finding you**

Days 8 & 9 of our trip were mostly the same - we spent both days in San Francisco

Friday

 

Odd "art" that can be walked on and over - there were several kids playing

From the Golden Gate - we walked part way across - it was cold and crazy windy

On Saturday we went to the Golden Gate Park

The palace of fine arts was very cool - its a park and beautiful

 

some guy got arrested while we were there - not sure why, when we first saw him he was in his vehicle playing classical music then the police showed up

Both days started out early

we did lots ... saw Lombard street, china town and most of the rest of the city, we rode busses and cable cars, we walked - a lot ... we walked pretty much from Bay Bridge to Fort Mason

It was cold - 65 degrees with 15mph sustained winds and 25mph gusts

 

There were a couple things we didn't do - go to Muir Woods/the redwood forest - it was several miles past the golden gate but we saw sequoias in Yosemite so that's ok

 

It was a good trip - we had lots of fun - ate lots of food and saw lots of stuff

 

Our flight left from San Fran at 1220 am CA time which is 320 VA time

we landed at 1030 am VA time

 

Im very happy to be back in Virginia where it is hot and humid

 

The kitties are happy we are home too - I have had at least one touching me since we have been back

 

Now I must get ready and go to work
