Face - Princess - Eye

Last fall I rescued 3 kittens that had been dropped by the river. I did not intend on keeping them so I named them according to their features so that we could distinguish between the three when talking. As it has turned out they are not adoptable because most people like friendly kitties and these are not very friendly.

Face

Face has gotten failry friendly, he will let me pet him when I am sitting on the sofa or laying in bed. He does not like to be touched with 2 hands at 1 time and he does not want to be picked up. He began getting interested in the outside so I finally convinced myself that it would be ok ... I let him outside one day and he LOVED it ... climbed a tree, ran, played and at the end of the day he came back inside. Now he pretty much stays outside but comes in on occasion. Yesterday he let me pet him while he was outside - WIN :) He seems very happy to be out there and he is always welcome to come in but for now he perfers to be out.

Princess

Princess has never decided to be friendly. In fact in a weeks time if I see her once its amazing. About a month ago some kitty started pooping in my bedroom. Last week i figured out it was her. She pooed on the floor, on the bed, on the dresser. I confined her to another room with a litterbox, food and water. She pooed on the bed in that room instead of using the box. Thinking she may be sick I took a sample to the vet - nope not sick. However she could be stressed. SO ... knowing that I would probably never get her back I let her outside. I have seen her more in the week she has been out than I did in the months she was in my house. She comes on the porch to eat and drink and sleep. I see her playing in the yard and chasing bugs and pouncing grass. She finally seems happy. Face is out there with her showing her the ropes as he has been out for about a month. She does not run when I walk to the door to see her but she does not seem interested in coming in. Sometimes you have to love them enough to give them what they want and she obviously wanted to be outside.

Eye

Eye has turned into a love bug. He loves me ... only me. He wants to be petted and held and rubbed. He has an intestineal issue and in the last 10 days he has gotten in the habit of asking to go into the closed off room where I give him a spoon of wet food with his powder medicine for his instine. This medicine helps him so much. He has more normal box habits and he seems happier and much more loving - maybe because his tummy dosnt hurt anymore. Ive tried to let him outside and he just shakes. He likes to look out the windows but thats about it. He has a hard time seeing out of that eye and most things scare him. However I love him.

SO these 3 are staying. While I was willing to let them all live the life inside two of them seem much more "at home" outside. THey have plenty of building and places to stay cool, warm or dry. There is always plenty of food and water, pillows and blankets and shady trees.

Homes things and stuff

Mama Moo has never been friendly with me. Shes been living in the house for 10 weeks and not once has she seemed that being around a people would be a good thing. I picked her and her babies up about 80 miles from my house. My Mom had said that Moo could come live at her place. She has 2 other outside cats that are black and black & white. Moo is of course Black & White. Moo was spayed last Tuesday and Ive had her in a large crate since. This Tuesday I took her out to my moms with the intention of giving her a few days to get use to stuff and then let her out. She hid under her blanket ... wouldnet eat her food. Forecast was 94 for yesterday with 90% humidity so we took her inside. Yesterday I did some research and I worried about this little cat that was such a good momy and had been living in my house. I thought maybe I had failed at making her like people. I was sad that she was sad and I didnt know how to make it better. Then I decided it would be best to take her back to where I had found her. So last night I drove her back there. She perked right up, it was truly amazing ... I knew I had done the right thing when she took off running accross the long field with her tail up and she never looked back. She had lived there for several years, the vet thought she was 2 or 3. She is strong, she is spayed and she has had shots and most importantly I think she is happy - in most cases that is most important. I slept good last night and had no worries.

The last kitten has once again been spoken for ... she will go to her new home Monday evening. It has been so much fun having a baby in the house. Im happy that she will be spoiled and will have a home of her own.

I need a home ...

Hi - I am one of the Moo Babies ... I had a home and was suppose to go yesterday but the people decided they were not ready ... they just put their pup dog down about 8 months ago and they arent ready for another baby like me.

I am 8 weeks old ... Im eating good and like to play

I need a home. Im located in South West Virginia

Good News

Two of the kittens have been spoken for

This little girls name is Oreo ... and the same lady is taking this guy

But she hasnt thought of him a name yet ...

The other 2 are still looking for forever homes.

They are cuties so I dont think they will have problems finding someone to love them forever.

Mama Moo has been spoken for as well. My mom wants her to live at her house after she is spayed.

In other news the dumpster kitty is still at my house. Shes been going outside during the day and sleeping in the bed at night. Shes very sweet!

Wordless Wednesday

Another Kitty

I picked this pretty girl up last Monday night, she had been staying in a dumpster behined a local business. She is extremely friendly. I saw her on a Thursday night, made a spay appointment for her on Friday and picked her up Monday night for her Tuesday morning spay. Her surgery went well.

She is VERY friendly and has been out with everyone else at the house since she came back. She really likes to hang out in the reliner with Shon and she sleeps in the bed with him as well.

She weighed 6.2 pounds and its thought shes about 7-8 months old.

I sent some pictures out this morning and am hoping someone will want her so that I dont have to take her back to the dumpster.

The kittens are growing - 1 kitten and the mama has been spoken for. Need homes for 3 more kittens.
